Introduction:
One of the most popular adult web sites on the Internet today, Suicide Girls has really taken off over the past few years with some help from social networks such as MySpace. Suicide Girls covers one of my most favorite niches of all time in Pin-Up Punk Rock and Goth Girls. We’re talking those female badasses covered in tattoos and piercings with their dyed hair and crazy clothing (hopefully lying on the floor). My heart melts when I run into one of these beauties in real-life and since they would probably whoop my ass if I tried to hit on them, I stick with looking at these naked rock girls on Suicide Girls instead.

First Glance:
The first thing you will notice when you load up the web site is a fairly artistic, yet very busy home page. At the top is a banner ad, generally directly SG-related such as swag and live events, but occasionally for online alternative clothing stores and other culturally-related products and services. Unfortunately this is still present while logged in as a member, but I’m sure it’s there to help supplement the very low membership cost. The first glimpses you get of the sexy SG models is the “Set of the Day,” also allowing you to view basically a headshot the girls featured in previous days’ sets, unless you’re a member. In fact, any media content on the non-member side is rated ‘R’ at best (and that’s rare in itself).

Suicide Girls has basically become another social networking site, heavily relying on community features such as blogs, social interest groups and member-fueled feedback in order to fill in the holes and keeping it from being like 99% of the other pay sites out there. This is certainly a good thing if you’re into finding out what the models’ personalities and interests are like and having a large community all interested in the same sort of lifestyle, even if it’s only a fantasy in their (or your) minds.

Free Stuff:
So what can you get without shelling out the (very nominal) membership fee? The answer is not much. You can view the majority of the models’ and community’s blogs or at least, the text and non-nude photos within. You can get read-only access to the boards where the SG community and models come together to discuss whatever they fancy at the moment, usually music, sex, lifestyle and funny things on the Internet. You can also read the interviews with various celebrities.

Other than the features listed above, you can view the preview tour which contains a video clip from the television channel E featuring SG on a countdown list of the hottest women on the web. Right below that you will find a preview gallery of approximately 200 free Suicide Girls pictures, some of which you are seeing within this site review.

Seriously though, SG membership is very affordable and if this kind of content and lifestyle interest you at all, it’s a small drop in the bucket for the amount of content and community you get compared to other adult sites out there today.

Price Points:
While I’m on price points, here are your pricing options:

  • $12 for 1 month ($12/month)
  • $24 for 3 months ($8/month, 3 months for the price of 2)
  • $48 for 1 year ($4/month, 12 months for the price of 4!)

Compare that to other sites that absolutely rape you for $30+ per month and rarely cut you a break with bulk pricing just for the picture and video content alone. It’s an absolute steal and at a price that ensures community members will stick around for a long time.

What Do Members Get?
You get everything I mentioned in the above sections of this SuicideGirls.com review, of course, but most importantly you get (at the time of this writing) all of the 1,948 Suicide Girls, 232,274 pictures, hundreds (if not thousands) of videos, the ability to talk directly with the models and to become an active member in the SG community writing blog posts, talking on the boards, joining groups and meeting up offline with other members, if you so choose. You also get to review new, hopeful models’ photosets (most of which are amateur-shot, if you’re into that–I know I am!) and vote whether or not they get to become an official Suicide Girl.

Conclusion:
All in all, at SG’s current price points, the sexy Suicide Girl pictures and videos alone are worth at least double the month-to-month cost when compared to other adult web sites and you’re getting a great community of people to mingle with to boot. I’ve been a member for almost four years (since mid-late 2005) and it’s been worth every penny.
